There's something unsettling about the juxtaposition of the Israeli flag with the Stars and Bars. For over 100 years, anti-semitism was one of the  cornerstones of groups like the KKK, the Council of Concerned Citizens, and the League of the South who honor the Confederate Battle Flag.

To be clear, the claim that the Civil War (aka, the War of Northern Aggression to some Southerners) was fought over states rights is false. The real reason for the war was slavery as stated by Alexander Stephens, Vice President, Confederate States of America, "Our new government is founded upon exactly the opposite idea; its foundations are laid, its cornerstone rests, upon the great truth that the negro is not equal to the white man; that slavery subordination to the superior race is his natural and normal condition."
