Inmates Running the Asylum

Former US Representative Michele Bachmann says that President Obama's actions will initiate the Apocalypse. To quote Ms. Bachmann, "Jesus Christ is coming back. We, in our lifetimes potentially, could see Jesus Christ returning to Earth, the Rapture of the Church."  

Unfortunately, crazies like Bachmann are found in great numbers in both the Senate and Congress. There must be some flaw in our election process that allows these intellectually challenged characters to rise up through the cultural backwaters in which they were formed. Their growing numbers don't bode well for our future.
