Texas Politicians: Bottom Feeders Without Equal

65-year-old  rocker has-been Ted Nugent campaigned on Tuesday with Texas GOP gubernatorial nominee Greg Abbott, the state's current attorney general who makes no apologies for inviting Nugent on the campaign trail with him. With Nugent's  characteristic shtick, a loud mouth with no connection to any higher intelligence,  he treated the assembled conservative Texas mouth-breathers to another of his scatological diatribes.

Nugent's tenuous grasp of sanity is exemplified by his comments during a recent interview with Guns.com. "I have obviously failed to galvanize and prod, if not shame enough Americans to be ever vigilant not to let a Chicago communist-raised, communist-educated, communist-nurtured subhuman mongrel like the acorn community organizer gangster Barack Hussein Obama to weasel his way into the top office of authority in the United States of America," said Nugent.

A review of the most outlandish public statements made over the past several years will find a large number of conservative Texas politicians competing for honorable mention.  When these conservatives have no meaningful  solutions to offer, they lazily regress to the red-meat issues of  God, guns, and family. There can be no progress in addressing the economic and cultural ills plaguing Texas as long as the conservative Christians have a strangle hold on Texas politics.
